Main Activities

CNRS researcher in supramolecular chemistry

Head of the supramolecular consortium in Marseille Supra-Mars.

2007-2008: Post-doc in Canada (Ottawa) with Dr. John Ripmeester and Dr. Chris Ratcliffe about solid state supramolecular chemistry.

2006: Post-doc in Birmingham (UK) with Pr. Mike Hannon about helicates and DNA recognition.

2005: PhD in Marseille (France) in physical organic chemistry with Dr. Jean-Pierre Finet and Pr. Paul Tordo about the use of cyclodextrins in spin trapping experiments.

My work is about supramolecular chemistry, especially that involving cucurbituril macrocycles in water. It also deals with free radicals, often in supramolecular systems, self-assembled compounds, supramolecular gels and more generally molecular recognition. Here follow the main axes developed and main references, mostly involving cucurbituril macrocycles, named after their resemblance with pumpkins:
