Visit of the Deputy Scientific Director at CNRS Chemistry
Tuesday, February 17, Frédéric Leroux, Deputy Scientific Director at CNRS Chemistry, will visit the ICR. This visit will include discussions with the management, research teams, platforms, and support staff. Please give him a warm welcome and take this opportunity to discuss any relevant topics. Frédéric Leroux is a Research Director in Strasbourg at the Laboratory of Molecular Innovation & Applications. His research focuses on fluorine and phosphorus chemistry, as well as asymmetric synthesis.

MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF) 2026 Call
This is a funding scheme under the Horizon Europe program, designed to support individual postdoctoral fellowships with mobility in Europe (European Fellowship) or outside Europe (Global Fellowship).
Opening date: April 9, 2026 and Deadline: September 9, 2026

2026 SCF Sud-PACA Thesis Prize: Blanche Krieguer
Blanche Krieguer has been awarded the 2026 SCF Sud-PACA Thesis Prize for her doctoral research on the impact of ionizing radiation (gamma, electron beam, and X-rays) on polymer materials used in biopharmaceutical and biotechnological applications. Her work was conducted at ICR under the supervision of Sylvain Marque (CRAB) and at IMBE under the supervision of Nathalie Dupuy.

AMUtech Doctoral Program 2026
The AMUtech Institute offers a doctoral program designed to provide a strong understanding of nanomaterials and their unique properties, with a focus on phenomena that emerge at the nanoscale. The program aims to give participants a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective on the field, equipping them with the scientific foundations and current research challenges.

The program is open to master’s students, as well as engineers and researchers seeking to deepen or update their knowledge in the field of nanomaterials.

CRCMM Training Sessions
The CRCMM will soon offer four training sessions dedicated to molecular modeling. These sessions are designed to help you master DFT calculations, molecular mechanics, or spectrum simulation, regardless of your skill level.

- March 30: MM2 – Conformational Analysis and Reactivity
- April 10: MM3 – Applications in Spectroscopy (IR, VCD, NMR, EPR)

Loïc FONTAINE has joined the CROPS team as a postdoctoral researcher to collaborate with Yohann Guillaneuf and Cathy Lefay. His work will focus on the development of new antibacterial materials for biomedical applications. Originally from Réunion, Loïc studied at École Centrale Marseille. In 2022, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Rouen under the supervision of Thomas Lecourt (COBRA). Following this, he completed his first postdoctoral fellowship at the Polymer Materials Engineering Laboratory (IMP) in Lyon.

Quentin MUZIOT has joined the CMO team as a PhD student under the supervision of Laurence Feray and Stéphane Gastaldi. His research focuses on the synthesis and study of structures featuring the furan-indole-chromenone motif: a new family of organic photocatalysts for radical transformations in fine chemistry. Quentin holds a Master’s degree in Biomolecular Chemistry (research track) from the University of Montpellier.

The Platforms Labeled by CNRS Chemistry
The 75 labeled platforms of CNRS Chemistry are open to both academic and industrial stakeholders. Located across France, they bring together advanced equipment, technological tools, and expertise. These platforms are accessible outside the laboratory to the entire scientific community as well as local and national economic actors. This openness—ranging from direct use of instruments to more elaborate services—is accompanied by technical support or analysis of results at certified rates.

Visite du Directeur Scientifique Adjoint à CNRS Chimie
Mardi 17 février, Frédéric Leroux, Directeur Scientifique Adjoint à CNRS Chimie, rendra visite à l’ICR. A cette occasion, des échanges sont prévus avec la direction, les équipes, les plateformes et les personnels d’appui à la recherche. Merci de lui faire le meilleur accueil, n’hésitez pas à profiter de cette occasion pour aborder tout sujet pertinent. Frédéric Leroux est directeur de recherche à Strasbourg, Laboratoire d’Innovation Moléculaire & Applications, et s’intéresse à la chimie du fluor, du phosphore, ainsi qu’à la synthèse asymétrique.

Prix de Thèse 2026 SCF Sud-PACA : Blanche Krieguer
Blanche Krieguer a obtenu le Prix de thèse 2026 de la SCF Sud-PACA pour ses travaux de thèse portant sur l‘impact des rayonnements ionisants (gamma, faisceau d’électrons et rayons X) sur les matériaux polymères utilisés pour des applications biopharmaceutiques et biotechnologiques. Ses travaux ont été réalisés à l’ICR sous la direction de Sylvain Marque (CRAB) et à l’IMBE sous la direction de Nathalie Dupuy.

Programme doctoral AMUtech 2026
L’Institut AMUtech propose un programme doctoral qui vise à offrir une compréhension solide des nanomatériaux et de leurs propriétés singulières, en mettant l’accent sur les phénomènes qui émergent aux échelles nanométriques. L’ambition est de donner aux participants une vision solide et transversale du domaine, en leur offrant les bases scientifiques et les enjeux actuels de la recherche.
Du 18 février au 26 mars 2026 sur le campus Saint-Jérôme.
Le programme est ouvert aux étudiants de master, ainsi qu’aux ingénieurs et chercheurs souhaitant approfondir ou actualiser leurs connaissances dans le domaine des nanomatériaux et l’inscription se fait directement auprès de moi.

Formations CRCMM
Le CRCMM propose prochainement quatre sessions de formation dédiées à la modélisation moléculaire. Ces sessions sont conçues pour vous accompagner dans la maîtrise des calculs DFT, de la mécanique moléculaire ou de la simulation de spectres, quel que soit votre niveau.
Calendrier des sessions :
- 23 mars : MM1 – Initiation aux outils de la modélisation
- 30 mars : MM2 – Analyse conformationnelle et réactivité

Loïc FONTAINE a rejoint l’équipe CROPS en tant que chercheur post-doctoral pour travailler avec Yohann Guillaneuf and Cathy Lefay pour étudier le développement de nouveaux matériaux antibactériens pour des applications biomédicales. Loïc est originaire de la Réunion. Après des études à l’Ecole Centrale Marseille, il a obtenu, en 2022, un doctorat de l’Université de Rouen sous la direction de Thomas Lecourt (COBRA). Il a ensuite effectué un premier stage post-doctoral dans le laboratoire d’Ingénierie des Matériaux Polymères (IMP) à Lyon.

Quentin MUZIOT a rejoint l’équipe CMO en tant que doctorant sous la supervision de Laurence Feray et Stéphane Gastaldi avec comme sujet la synthèse et l’étude de structures présentant le motif furane-indole-chroménone : une nouvelle famille de photocatalyseurs organiques pour les transformations radicalaires en chimie fine. Quentin a obtenu un Master chimie des biomolécules (orientation recherche) à l’université de Montpellier.

Publications scientifiques : une surproduction fatale ?
Trop nombreuses, frauduleuses ou écrites par intelligence artificielle générative : les critiques à l’égard des publications scientifiques s’accumulent à l’heure de leur surproduction. Faut-il dès lors en faire le deuil ? C’était le débat de la septième Journée science ouverte au CNRS.

Les plateformes labélisées par le CNRS Chimie
Les 75 plateformes labellisées de CNRS Chimie sont ouvertes aussi bien aux acteurs académiques qu’industriels. Réparties partout en France, elles rassemblent des équipements, des outils technologiques avancés et des expertises. Elles sont ouvertes hors-laboratoire à toute la communauté scientifique ainsi qu’aux acteurs économiques locaux et nationaux. Cette ouverture, allant d’une utilisation directe des instruments à une prestation plus élaborée, s’accompagne d’un soutien technique ou d’une analyse des résultats selon des tarifs certifiés.
